Schlittercon 17 was held on Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30. It was awesome to get back to Schlitterbahn for what has become one of the largest events in our region. The 2020 event was cancelled due to the park being closed for the pandemic. Also, after our 2019 event, the park was purchased by Cedar Fair. Everyone was wondering if/how will the event go on.

Due to Covid restrictions, it was announced that attendance would be limited to 150 people. When tickets went on sale, the event sold out in under fifteen minutes.

The event started on Saturday with check in at the Bavarian Halle. Attendees received the event schedule, park tickets for the day, a meal voucher to enjoy lunch on the park, and an event t-shirt. Members were free to enjoy the park all day with no scheduled events.

Sunday morning started off with check in, receiving wristbands for the day, and heading into the park for breakfast. The park went all out with chicken & waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and fresh fruit. The park also offered coffee, orange juice, and mimosas. Darren Hill commented that with the smell of bacon and corks popping, it must be Schlittercon.

After breakfast, Skycoaster flights were awarded, announcements were made and everyone headed out for the ACE Boogie Bahn Competition and ERT on Boogie Bahn and Dragon's Revenge.

Attendees were then free to enjoy the day. We met for a catered dinner at 5:30pm. ACE Boogie Bahn Competition winners were awarded, announcements were made, and a group photo was taken.

We then headed over to the Shipwreck Bar for an open bar and dessert bar. After the general public finished clearing the park, we had ERT on the three tower slides.
