What an amazing event. Our third largest attendance for this event with 31 members from seven states attending.

We started our event at Joyland Amusement Park in Lubbock. After check in, we learned a new game together - Bumper Car Soccer. Teams of four worked together to get a yoga ball across the bumper car floor and between two parked cars at either end without carrying the ball in the car. It was a blast! After this game, we all enjoyed ERT on the parks coasters. Once the park opened, we moved to the air conditioned party room for dinner, questions and answer with the park owners and a presentation of the ACE South Central Industry Appreciation Award to the Dean family. After dinner we enjoyed a construcion tour of the new coaster Sand Storm, a group photo, and then we enjoyed the rest of the night in the park.

Day two of the event started at Larson International with breakfast and a tour of the facility. We then walked across the property to the home of the National Roller Coaster Museum & Archives. After a tour and group photo we left for our drive to Amarillo.

We met at the back gate of Wonderland Amusement Park and headed in together for the ACE South Central Putt Putt Tournament. After the tournament, we were free to enjoy the park on our own in groups. We met for dinner and a presentation from park owner Paul Borchardt. We learned the history of the Amarillo area and the park. The region also presented Paul and Paula with the ACE South Central Industry Appreciation Award. After dinner, we enjoyed the evening in the park with light crowds before ERT on all of the parks coasters.
